Sherborne Stuff

A few bits and pieces, a little random.

  1. I was pointed at this website today (link) which details a payment from the Government of £102,822 for the Windrush and Sherborne Brook Catchment improvement. Does anyone know about this and to whom the money is going to? And what for?

  2. Some images below of the second film crew in ten days filming on the Sherborne Brook. This lovely brook of ours is getting a lot of attention.

  3. An interesting few historic shots. c1920:

    a. Firstly a steam engine outside the village shop

b. Secondly the very smartly painted Boathouse on the lower lake (“The Narrow water”). Note the magnificent elm trees along the distant park wall.

c. Thirdly, the church spire being repaired:

  1. A crayfish claw, up by Waterloo Bridge, further upstream than ever before . :-(. If you see an armless crayfish, point it in my direction.

That is all!
